My blog is all about keeping you in the loop.   There are a lot of exciting things happening in our church.  Here is what we are working on:

First of all, in the next few months the staff will be moving the church offices out of the trailer and into the church building.  We don’t yet have a move date because some details need to be worked out.  There will be some minor inconveniences for the staff post move, but the staff all agreed this is the best decision for our church as it will save us about $1000 per month.  We want to be good stewards of everything God has given us.

In the coming months, we will also be redoing our current welcome center in the foyer of the church.  Instead of the current cabinet configuration, we will be designing and installing a “Connection Center.”  The Connection Center will be a place where members and visitors can easily get connected to Life Groups, Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Worship and Outreach to the community.  You will see a cutting edge display of computer stations with attractive signage that will enable people to easily access information about our church.  There will also be a kiosk for online giving.  The goal of our design is to help people get connected and help people take their next step toward Christ.  We do not have a completion date because we are still working on the design phase.  Trust me on this.  You are going to like it!

Lastly, we will also be receiving a special Christmas Offering on Sunday, December 20th. This offering will go to fund the refurbishing and redesigning of our children’s ministry wing, as well as provide for much needed equipment upgrades.  The current Excite Room for elementary worship is simply not adequate for the amount of children we have in our church.  Our plan is to create a larger worship space for our elementary ministry as well as a more inviting and child friendly environment.  The good news is, we can accomplish this goal within our current building structure.  What I am asking is for you to prayerfully consider what God would have you give OVER AND ABOVE your normal giving for this special offering on Sunday, December 20th.

In the coming weeks, I will be sharing more information with you in the morning worship experiences.  Stay tuned!
