About Me

There is something special, something unique about our church. Some might say it is the friendly people or vibrant worship. I believe it is the presence of God. Simply put, God is working here…in us and through us. And it has nothing to do with anything good in us. Rather, it is because we serve a great God.
I have had the privilege of serving as Lead Pastor for Stones Crossing Church in Greenwood, IN for the past 14 years. After being called into the ministry as a high school junior, I soon developed a vision and a passion to see the Body of Christ flourish in every way. It is such a joy to be a small part of seeing that vision become a reality in this local body of Christ followers. The movement of God has been especially evident over the last couple of years as we have seen tremendous growth. While numerical growth produces excitement, my true joy is to see people take their next step toward Christ. I’d love for you to learn more about Stones Crossing Church.
But if you just want to learn a little bit more about me, what I am up to and what drives me everyday, keep reading. And hopefully, as you track my journey of ministry life, you will discover something that helps you realize all that God has in store for your own journey.
As far as interests go, I love sports…especially football–the Indianapolis Colts and the Alabama Crimson Tide. I also love marathon training and hanging with my two sons, Harrison and Ryan. Of course, my biggest interest (next to my relationship with Christ), is my wife, Luann!

My grandson, Alex, is looking for a church in (around) Nashville. He lives in Mt Juliet. He went on a mission trip with me a couple of years ago and really liked our church. He wanted me to ask if there is any pastors you may know with a youthful/giving church like ours.
What part of Nashville…it is a pretty big city. And, there are great churches all over Nashville.
Although it’s not like our church, Nashville First Church of the Nazarene was my home church for a few years. It’s a great church if he’d like to try it out. It’s very close to downtown.
He lives in Mt Juliet which is a bit eat of Nashville. He is a high school senior. Also he is in a difficult place in life, his mother and father divorced when he was 3. His step dad of 12 years has just filed for divorce. Somehow he has a love of God and loves sharing it. When he was here for the El Salvador trip, he expressed a liking for a church “like mine” at home
Pastor, your messages are great! I hear all here in brazil. God bless you!
Thanks Carlos!
Hi Pastor Scott
A couple of Sunday’s ago you mentioned a book you read that lead you to accept Christ. You were a young boy at the time and I couldn’t recall the book title or author. So could you please share that with me? I’d like to read it too. Thanks, Michelle Weston
It is called, Power For Living by Jamie Buckingham.
